Major Bush Scandal. Bush admin funneling money to Sunni groups linked to Al Qaeda.

February 27th, 2007 · 29 Comments

Seymour Hersh uncovers major Bush scandal. Bush is funneling money without authorization or oversight that has ended up in the hands of Sunni jihadist groups linked to Al Qaeda.

If this is true and he is not impeached… someone should call Jack Bauer and get him to deal with it.

There are a LOT of impeachable offense committed by Bush and Cheney. This one is just a drop in the bucket when you consider the State-sponsored genocide practiced by this Administration.

But if you think our despicable and cowardly Congress is prepared to lift a finger and do the right thing, think again. We’re going to be stuck with the moron-in-chief for a while yet.

It’s sad that Bush cannot be impeached for racism, this is not an impeachable offense. I called the White House ten minutes ago to ask about this story and was told that President Bush nor VP Cheney would be available to take my call. This kind of thing has been going on in this country for over 400 years. I’ll bet they would’ve taken my call if I was White. It must be “No niggers Tuesday” at the White House. Sad.

  • xandy // Feb 27, 2007 at 2:34 pm

Pff…Typically american… And then you wonder how it is possible that some people have a slightly ambivalent feeling towards you…

  • Joe Friday // Feb 27, 2007 at 3:14 pm

Fred: Not saying that the bush administration is or isn’t racist but considering the amount of calls received I’m betting not getting through to the president or VP when you called is a standard rejection for everyone calling in on that public line.

Regardless, as mentioned above, this administration has done too many impeachable offenses to count.

I’m an American and I love my country. I’m simply embarassed by those who run it.

  • Pudwerx // Feb 27, 2007 at 3:19 pm

XANDY- S.T.F.U. — The majority of this country does not FAVOR Bush. He won because he lied. Now– everyone is seeing the light… so take your typically american comment and shove it up your tight french ass. You have no spine and obviously no clue.

Pudwerx - Yeah, you’re def helping our American image… The president is elected by the people. If he’s an idiot, the people are idiots, it’s not that hard to figure out.

Stop acting like democracy doesn’t work both ways ya jackass.

Fred - Stop using a computer, and read some books. Because the most called man in America doesn’t take your call he’s racist due to you being black? Sorry, if he’s racist, that isn’t why.

  • Bob // Feb 27, 2007 at 5:11 pm

Fred’s right damn it. You’re just picking on him because he’s black.

  • Anita // Feb 27, 2007 at 6:03 pm

Seymour Hersh always speaks like he’s speaking the gospel, but doesn’t exactly have a great track record for breaking real stories. Sure, he’s sometimes right, but a lot of times his “sources” are quack jobs or special interest groups with their own agenda that is decidingly anti-Bush.

I’m as much against Bush’s policies as anyone else, but it’s hard for me to believe that even the Bush administration would be dumb enough to funnel money to Al-Qaeda.

  • Pete // Feb 27, 2007 at 7:26 pm

Fred…did you actually call and say, “Hi, I’m black and I’d like to talk to the President?” I called and said I was an atheist and they wouldn’t talk to me either.

Fred, you really need to back to school, take some remedial math and history courses and finish getting that G.E.D. The first president, “George Washington” (he’s that white dude on the $1 bill and your 25 cent coins) wasn’t inaugurated until April 30th, 1789. The current year is 2007. 2007 - (minus) 1789 = (is equal to) 218 years - the official number of years that we’ve been operating under the Constitution. (I’ll not bore you with the Articles of Confederation - it may hurt your brain) And of course the first telephone was installed in 1879. So 2007-1879 = 128 years! And the dumbest thing you’ve insinuated is that Bush won’t take your calls because you’re Black? Is there some neat unknown feature in my telephone that allows me to screen calls by race?

You do yourself no credit by race baiting.

  • Sara Bellum // Feb 27, 2007 at 8:02 pm

Fred - Did you use a picture phone to call the White House?

  • mark // Feb 27, 2007 at 9:29 pm

why don’t you bush haters go fuck yourselves.

  • Toofrizzled // Feb 28, 2007 at 12:04 am

Who actually calls the White House when they have a problem? and WHO actually thinks that the White House, at this point in history, would actually take a call that had an opinion that conflicted with their own agenda? The Electorates took our Election from us in 2004. The popular vote, was, with no doubt, Al Gore. At that point, he wouldn’t have helped us. However, the harm W has done us is beyond reprehensible. How can anyone argue otherwise? Fact, not fiction, bares us the truth: the next generation will pay for the apathy of an American people that did nothing to stop our ignorant leader from taking power in the first place. Sadly, our inaction has led to the demise of a beautiful and strong nation. We will not recover so soon.

  • Andrey // Feb 28, 2007 at 6:47 am

  • For Mark // Feb 28, 2007 at 8:07 am

That’s called masturbation - simply another thing that the right wingers probably don’t approve of!

More relevantly, resorting to bad language as a means to complain about people hating Bush simply demonstrates that you have no logical arguments left to justify support for Bush.

  • Pete // Feb 28, 2007 at 8:16 am

Mark, we don’t have to fuck ourselves. The President has been kind enough to do that for us.

To Fred: You being not white has nothing to do with it. Bush/Cheney don’t give a damn what the American public thinks, wants or needs whether they are black or white. They do as they please and answer to no one. Sooner or later they will have to answer

  • mr scrotum // Mar 1, 2007 at 11:03 am

Everybody blames Bush. But the democrats rolled over and voted for the war. and they do nothing about the admin. disgusting and shocking. the U.S> now has no constitution, functional bill of rights, economic sovreignty, ecopnomic equality, or really anything at all except a whole lot of very trashy TV.

  • Ted // Mar 1, 2007 at 3:54 pm

what is sovreingty ? what is ecopnomic?

  • James // Mar 4, 2007 at 11:52 pm

What will it take to take this regime down before they take down America?

  • Ted // Mar 6, 2007 at 11:27 am

I personally think that they are ALL politicians. It doesn’t matter if they are Republicans or Democrats. They all lie to us and say what we want to hear. They have their own agendas and self-interests.

I am not certain that a change of the party in power will make a significant difference in how we are affected, either directly or indirectly.
